In Memoriam
The Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Society is saddened by the passing of Chad Kennedy, on June 23, 2026, at only 53 years of age. Chad was a past President (in 2016) of the Riverfront Blues Festival Board of Directors, and served on our board for several years.
Chad’s untimely passing reminds us how fleeting life can be and encourages us to enjoy our time on Earth.
Chad was an inspiring and dedicated member of the board during his tenure, who supported live music whenever he could.
He will be missed by all who knew him, and he touched many lives.
Chad is survived by his wife, Lainey (Alaina), son Jordan Kennedy and his son, Liam Kennedy. He is further survived by his parents and a host of friends.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
