On July 6, 2009, while on her way to work, Cheryl Sanderford of Rudy was in a car accident and suffered serious injuries, including a torn artery in her brain stem. This has left Cheryl indefinitely hospitalized with greatly limited mobility, speech, and vision.

Cheryl and her husband Brian face great uncertainty now as they look towards the possibility of a loss of health insurance, medical bills, loss of income, and the costs of renovating their home to accommodate any new needs that Cheryl may have.

Check out the Tribute Wall to the Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Festival at Pizza Warehouse! Fort Smith’s newest Pizza Place, located in the Quarry Shopping Center. Stop by and see Chris Young and the gang!

First National Bank’s Downtown location will host a photo exhibit featuring Festival Photographs by Jamie Mitchell, from May 16th through June 27th. The exhibit will be displayed in the main lobby area.

The Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Festival is now officially part of the Elwood Blues contest. Riverfront Blues Fest fans can enter the contest at www.thebluesmobile.com, the official website of Elwood Blues and the House of Blues Radio Hour.

Jason Ricci will perform at Van Buren Fine Arts Center for the Van Buren Grade Schools, approximately 900 students, age K-4. May 21st, 2009.

Ana Popovic will perform at Girls Incorporated in Fort Smith, approximately 250 girls.  June 18th 2009.
